Middleton conducts in-depth research on individual companies, which may include visiting companies on-site and interviews with company management, customers, competitors, suppliers, distributors and other outside experts. We develop an independent investment thesis for each stock to evaluate its potential.

Controlling risk is always important in our investment decision-making. Diversification – by asset class, industry and sector – helps us in our effort to achieve desired returns without assuming undue risk. Valuation discipline helps us to avoid holdings where market prices greatly exceed value suggested by fundamentals.
